	Services:

	Design Verification As required by legislation PVC provides a design verification service by our in house Professional Engineers. All our Engineers are professional registered with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) for the verification of designs of new pressure equipment and/or repairs or modifications to pressure equipment. Our Pr. Eng. personnel are in possession of the latest software to enable rapid reviews to ASME VIII and PD 5500. PVC has expertise in numerous other design codes for static and mobile pressure equipment such as: AD Merkblatter ASME I API 650 API 620 BS 2654 PVC is accredited to review transport vessels to SANS 1518 and ADR regulations.

	Manufacturing Inspection PVC specializing in the inspection and certification of vessels under pressure during construction. This would include repairs, re-rating and modification of existing pressure equipment. Typical equipment for manufacture would be: Process vessels Refrigeration equipment Autoclaves Air receivers Boilers Heat exchangers Road/rail transport tankers PVC strictly adheres to the surveillance hold points of the manufacturing/repair programme but not limited to the content thereof as mentioned in SANS 10227 and any other procedure as required by SANS 347.

	In-Service Inspection In terms of the Occupational Health and Safety act, act 85 of 1993, Minerals act, act 50 of 1991 and the Mine Health and Safety act, act 29 of 1996 it is compulsory to inspect and test pressure equipment at certain frequencies OHS act: Statutory inspection and test every 3 years. Steam Generators - external inspection every year and full statutory inspection and pressure test with specific NDE every 3 years. Minerals act: Inspect yearly and inspect and pressure test every second year. PVC has suitably qualified permanent personnel registered by South African Qualification and Certification Committee (SAQCC) to perform this work. During the statutory inspection the safety accessories being removed for refurbished and the pressure accessories being re-calibrated. During every statutory inspection some supplementary inspection will be carried out to satisfy our own in-house inspection procedures.

	Welding Consulting PVC is qualified to assist their clients with: Identify the Code of Construction Specify the mechanical and metallurgical properties of the material to be welded Select the most suitable welding process Select the most suitable consumables Assist with all welding documentation Technical direction for mechanical and non-destructive testing of welds Evaluation of material selection, welding consumables and heat treatment Welding procedure specifications Welding procedure qualifications Welder performance qualifications
	Non Destructive Testing PVC can offer full NDT services to our clients in accordance with international recognized codes and specifications. Construction and Project Management PVC is capable of managing and supporting projects of various sizes with full expediting functions to assist clients. Metallurgical Service PVC also offers a full metallurgical service to our clients through a SANAS accredited metallurgical laboratory.
